Four Days of Living Learning Between Art, Identity & Communication
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, ART-PRESS is a cross-border initiative that supports vocational training in artistic public relations — and this July, we took our first major step with an intensive workshop held in Oslo, Norway.

The workshop, held between July 1st and July 4th, 2025, brought together Romanian and Norwegian participants for an immersive learning experience led by Norwegian trainer Morten Bruun. We weren’t there just to learn about PR — we were there to practice how relevance is built around art.
From storytelling for exhibitions to artistic branding in the age of TikTok, each day was a journey between introspection and strategy. We explored how the cultural identity of a city can be shaped through the legacy of an artist, and what it means to give voice to a creative community — through aesthetics, authenticity, and narrative clarity.
We worked in teams, drafted real campaign ideas, and challenged each other with honest feedback. We learned what it means to become a trainer for artists and cultural professionals. We discovered that PR can also be a form of advocacy — a way of standing with those who create.
All of this happened in a city that inspired us at every step: from the striking architecture of the Oslo Opera House, to iconic jazz venues and experimental art spaces, to the guided visit through the Munch Museum — where art and communication truly live side by side.
At the end of four intense days, we left not just with tools and templates, but with a guiding question:
How can we stand closer — to the artist, to the audience, and to the stories that need to be told?
The Oslo workshop is only the beginning. In the months to come, we’ll turn everything we experienced into a curriculum, resources, and training opportunities for professionals in Romania who want to become artistic PR trainers themselves.
Stay tuned — the story continues.
